Very rare Stereo copy of the "Introducing the Beatles" album released on February 10th, 1964 and pressed in Los Angeles at the Monarch Record Manufacturing Co. pressing plant. Original cardboard Mono Version 2 column titles cover remains in the original protective "STEREO" distributor baggy. The original baggy has a red "Extra Special Value" sticker on the right from the "United States Record Corp." price seal. Original cardboard cover contains a very rare red background "STEREO" sticker in the upper-right hand corner, which in most cases can be found on the Mono cover of the Stereo version of "Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles", the repackaging of the second version of "Introducing the Beatles". This sticker measuring 0.5" x 2" comes across significantly rarer on the Mono cover of "Introducing the Beatles" than the white rectangular "Stereophonic" sticker. The paste over slick of the back cover has a very rare misprint. The "Please Please Me" track is missing a comma. Original 1st print Vee-Jay VJLPS 1062 catalog number 2.75" diameter Monarch pressing ring black labels with a multicolored spectrum band along the label's edge, Vee-Jay Records brackets logo and bold "STEREO" silver print at the 3 o'clock position. Left-justified song titles and credits, "S" suffix in the catalog number "VJLPS 1062" and "Introducing the Beatles" banner having "the" printed in lower case. The runout groove of the vinyl includes the "S" suffix before the matrix numbers on both sides, referring to the Stereo format of this copy, (MR) and Delta numbers, identifying the copy as the Monarch plant pressing and "URJ" stamp, signifying the mastering by Universal Recording Studios. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 - S 63-3402-S URJ △6313 (MR); Side 2 - S 63-3403 - S URJ △6313x (MR). This copy comes with an original red background Vee-Jay Records inner sleeve with 30 black and white photos of other VJ releases.

The clean cover is graded as Excellent and doesn't have any ring wear or writing. Some very light occasional age discoloration along the edges of the paste over slick on the back cover. Very light bumping to the top and bottom right corners. The top left corner has a pair of barely visible staple holes. The baggy is in great vintage condition. The glossy vinyl is in Strong Very Good condition having some very light surface hairlines and scuffs from the original red background Vee-Jay inner sleeve in Excellent condition. The clean labels are in Excellent Minus condition only having just a couple of very light spindle marks seen under a strong light source. The vinyl sounds great overall with some light occasional background noise, most likely just static, and "Chains" track having a series of light clicks in the beginning, which perhaps will go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
