Original 1st Vee-Jay Records Mono pressing corrected Version 2 of The Beatles’ 1st album “Introducing the Beatles” released in the US on February 10, 1964. The album comes with an original Vee-Jay Records "Other Significant Albums of Interest on Vee-Jay Records" inner sleeve with 25 adverts of other VJ releases on each side. 1st print original all black without a multi-color band labels containing a small VJ brackets logo, 1.25” diameter pressing ring, small silver print text, centered song titles and credits as well the “Long Playing” and “Microgroove” banners. The labels contain a misprint indicating the author credit for the “Chains” track as “Coffin-King” as oppose to the correct one “Goffin-King”. Heavyweight plate approximately 200g Southern Plastics, Nashville, TN plant 1st pressing with the very 1st A1 / A1 matrix numbers, date stamp “2-6-64” and “AudioMatrix” machine stamp identifying AudioMatrix Inc., New York. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 – 63-3402-1  2-6-64 URJ A1 AudioMatrix; Side 2 – 63-3403-1 2-6-64 URJ A1 AudioMatrix.

The very clean cover is in Excellent condition. The front cover doesn't have any signs of ring wear. All of the edges and rigid spine with a fully readable text are fully intact and almost have no wear or scuffs, perhaps only a few at the corners. The back cover doesn't have any stains, residue or wear, only some very light shelf wear on the middle column. I grade the vinyl as somewhere between Strong Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus for Side 1 and Very Good Plus for Side 2 which has a few light non-feelable surface marks as well as scuffs from the original inner sleeve, which is in Near Mint Minus condition. The labels are very clean and in Excellent condition, scuff- and wear-free, only having a few very light spindle marks that can be seen under a strong light source. The vinyl plays great only having some very light occasional static, which could get reduced or go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
