Item Description & Condition:
I Want To Hold Your Hand/This Boy’ was originally released on 29th November 1963 and went straight to the No 1 position in the UK charts and remained at No 1 for five weeks.
This is an original and very rare **SOLID CENTRE** pressing with all the characteristics of the 1963 first issue, with The PARLOPHONE CO LTD label rim in upper case, Recording First Published 1963, and without the Sold in UK Label text.
For reference only, below is a library scan showing an original 1963 pushout centre 45, you can compare the text on this and the solid centre version also below.
This Vinyl 45 is on the traditional Black and Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD....’ label rim (in Uppercase), ‘Recording First Published 1963’and ‘Made In Gt.Britain’ printed to both record labels, and the much rarer and obscure Solid Centre.
Both sides of the record labels are in Excellent Plus condition, undamaged record labels, with just a few light signs of play.
Side 1 matrix: 7XCE 17559-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17560-1N.
Side 1 stampers: KT 14 and Side 2: KT 5.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellent Minus to Excellent condition, there are no deep scratches of scuffs, just a few surface hairline scratches visible on both sides.
Play Quality:
Both sides play with superb sound quality, without skips or clicks, and just very mild background crackle.
The Vinyl 45 comes in it’s original Green Parlophone Company bag and is in undamaged Excellent condition.
This rare variant does not often come up for sale, in fact the last time i had this variant in stock was 8 years ago, this example is in nice condition.
