THE BEATLES - 'HELP!
This time-capsule UK 1st mono pressing of their second film soundtrack LP dates from initial August 1965 release.
It has standard black & yellow Parlophone labels with the catalogue number PMC 1255.
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims.
Matrices: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 6/AAO & 1,6/AMG
Vinyl weight: 157g
Housed in a wonderfully preserved 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, with a laminated front panel and three rear flipbacks.
Complete with an original 'Use Emitex...' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A perfect pair showing no wear or any spindle marks around either centre hole.
DiscVisual: MINT -
Exquisite factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces which appear 'as new' in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath halogen light reveals only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines on side 2, caused by initial insertion of the disc at the factory. You will not find a cleaner, better looking disc.
Audio: MINT
It's tough to find a UK 1st pressing with this high level of audio quality, but we are pleased to say that this one delivers on all levels. Every track on this tube-cut masterpiece is full of the warmth and clarity one would expect from a pressing of this vintage. Our careful single test-play detected no trace of any groove/playwear distortion. Both of the innermost tracks on each side are unworn and the more fragile tracks, such as the masterful mono mix of 'Yesterday', are free from the background interference which blights so many copies of this pressing. Of course there are no ticks, clicks, pops or any other audible distractions. You really won't be disappointed.
Cover: MINT -
The chances of a cover of this type surviving the past 53 years in this condition are, as you know if you have tried to locate one, extremely remote. However, this amazingly well looked-after example looks like it left the shops last week. The striking front panel retains a spectacular unworn, high-gloss front panel which is free from any thumbnail wrinkles, creasing or even a single spine or edge bend. All corners are perfectly sharp and square and both opening edges are clean & undamaged. The rear panel is flawless with no hint of any yellowing, age-spots or handling marks to any area. The only factor preventing a straight 'MINT' grading is a little wear to the rear edge of the spine where there is a light 1" stress causing a small area of loose laminate beneath the spine's lettering (see image 11). However both upper and lower seams are unworn and overall this would be very hard to upgrade.
Inner-sleeve: MINT -
Clean & white with a few gentle storage wrinkles with no writing, tears or seam splits.
Very few examples of this LP survive in this condition, so don't miss the opportunity to own this investment-grade example.
