The Beatles – Help! 1st UK MONO Pressing in near MINT condition. First cutting/edition/pressing of this magnificent album with early mother stampers :
Matrix / Runout (Side A, stamped): XEX 549-2 RT G 8 Matrix / Runout (Side B, stamped): XEX 550-2 ML 5
Variation A. (This one) Only the original 1st labels used a Sans-Serif font and the * credit indicator for “I Need You” placed to the right of the song title with a space between: I Need You *. (see pics)
COVERS: Near MINT. A great example of this 1965 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse cover in near MINT condition. There is some slight ageing/yellowing to the front panel which prevents a MINT grading. The laminate retains it’s original shop fresh high gloss sheen. There are no laminate bends or ‘thumbnail’ creases to any part of the cover. The original opening edge is factory sharp. The back panel is in pristine condition. All flipbacks are intact. There is no writing or personalization to any part of the cover. The spine is uncrushed with the writing fully legible. Now extremely tough to find in this condition. LABELS: A superb set of labels showing minimal signs of use. Probably less than 10 plays. Side one carries the KT tax code. As with all XEX 549-2 first pressings. VINYL: Looks near MINT SOUND: It's going to be hard to beat this one, unworn, dynamic, no crackles, pops or clicks whatsoever, it's a near MINT audio and the feeling is as you just got this from the store upon release on August, 6th1965.
