THE BEATLES: ‘HELP’ – AN ORIGINAL 1965 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE FACTORY SAMPLE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1255.
ORIGINAL, EARLY ISSUE.
The Beatles Help LP was released by Parlophone UK on the 6th August 1965.
The Heavyweight Vinyl LP is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Sold in UK…’ and ‘circled P date 1965’ label text.
Both sides of the record labels are in very nice Excellent Plus condition, with no more than a few light centre spindle lines, the official Factory Sample Sticker is on the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are also in nice Excellentcondition, clean and glossy vinyl surfaces, showing nothing more than a couple of light surface hairlines to both sides, there are no deep scratches.
Please note that on side 1 of the vinyl disc, there is a blemish in the vinyl, apparently this blemish has been there since new and is a manufacturing fault, it does cause significant hiss when played, (see scan)
The side 1 matrix XEX 549-2 and Side 2: XEX 550-2.
The early side 1 stamper is: 1 A and Side 2 is: 1 R.
There is an embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code on the centre of the side 1 record label.
**Other than what has been described above, the album plays fair with background crackle throughout all of the tracks**
The LP comes in an ORIGINAL Poly Lined Use ‘Emitex’ Printed Inner Bag and is in Excellent Minus condition. There are NO seam splits and NO handwriting, just some light creasing, and small tears to the opening edge.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back sleeve printed with outlined ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.
The Sleeve is in very nice Excellent condition. The glossy laminated front panel shows only mild record indentation, and a small crease to the bottom right corner. The reverse panel is very clean, with the exception of a little age discolouration to the opening edge. The spine edge is undamaged and the printed wording ‘Help! The Beatles’ is clearly legible.
Overall a very nice clean example of this original1965 Beatles UK Mono album.
