Description

I am selling my 1965 The Beatles' Greatest German First Press, Stereo, SMO 83 991.

I believe that this is a first German pressing.

Several indicators indicate a first press: The record label is gold, white, and red, the record has the original catalogue number SMO 83 991, the record label has  "Alle Rechte des Plattenherstellers" on the rim of the label on the disk, the Label on side A has the tracks seperated by a slash (/) and not by a dash (-). The one issue, from my research, is that there is a point or dot after "Bestell-Nr" on label of side A while the first pressing apparently did not have the point or period, but that is the only difference that I can tell.

Please note a few flaws on the cover: there is a tear (from the record) at the top, a piece of scotch tape was placed along the bottom of the cover,  and the letter "E" was written in pencil on the back upper right by the catalogue number. Please see pictures.

I played the record prior to listing on eBay and it plays very clean. I have owned the record for over fifty years and have not played it much.

I do not take buy it now offers, nor will I respond to questions asking for a buy it now price.
