What have we here? The 1980 box set "The Beatles Box" (often called the "From Liverpool" Box). 8LP best-of set.
As Beatle People know, the cool thing about this set is the selection of masters used; in many cases, the mixes are unique. For example, the following versions are used here:
• Love Me Do (original UK single with Ringo on drums)
• She Loves You (mock stereo remix from "A Collection of Oldies")
• All My Loving (German mix w/ hi-hat intro)
• And I Love Her (German mix with 6 repeats instead of 4)
• She's A Woman (true stereo mix)
• I Feel Fine ("whisper intro" version)
• Help! (mono mix)
• Day Tripper ("Yesterday"… and Today mix)
• Paperback Writer (stereo "A Collection Of Beatles Oldies" mix)
• Penny Lane (U.S. Rarities edit)
• Baby You're A Rich Man (stereo mix)
• I Am The Walrus (U.S. Rarities composite)

And, to boot, this copy is the Japanese pressing on Odeon (EAS 77011-18), and each record is stored in a Discwasher V.R.P. sleeve. I love Japanese pressings, they're so well made and totally silent between tracks. No Obi, sorry, but both Japanese-language booklets are included.
Records themselves and individual sleeves are in beautiful shape. Box has no rips, but edges are slightly worn and there's one 2" piece of clear tape on the back.
Most copies of this currently offered on eBay, while they have the Obi, are in the hundreds of dollars. This one's much less!
