THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This superb UK MONO 1st pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels include the 'Sold in U.K...' text with a 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-3N
Stamper codes: 2,5/GPD & 2,8/GH0
Housed in an outer laminated gatefold mono cover, complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Record (EX): Both playing surfaces appear to be in excellent condition however there are a few few faint wispy paper marks/hairlines from the inner-sleeve and small scuffs from storage.
Cover (EX+): Given its fragility, finding this cover after 53 years in anything approaching this condition is difficult to find. The delicate front leaf retains a richly colored, high-gloss finish with no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or spine bends. Both upper & leading edges are sharp and unworn. The only significant sign of wear here is a touch of shelfwear to the rear as well as a few small creases. Both panels inside the gatefold are clean undamaged and both flip-over flaps are clean & intact. All seams are unstressed and unsplit and the spine is unbend, uncrushed and fully worded with clearly defined factory pinched spine ends.
Inner (EX): Clean & crisp with no damage or wear to any part.
