Description
This is the original first Mono Yellow/Black pressing of the album "Please Please Me" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number PMC 1202. These early Parlophone copies are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy would be hard to beat. Matrix numbers are: Side 1, XEX-421-1N, Side 2, XEX 422-1N Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock 15, 3 O clock RPA, Side 2, 9 O clock 3, G O clock RPP
The labels have "The Parlophone Company" rim and no "Sold in UK".
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on both sides and neither side displays any scratches, scuffs or any other surface marks. The vinyl surfaces gleam, almost as good as new. The labels remain factory bright and have no spindle marks whatsoever, AS GOOD AS NEW.
The record is housed in an original Emitex inner that has no splits or other damage. The sleeve remains clean with only minor discolouration. The outer Ernest J Day sleeve is in great shape with only minor edge creasing creasing to the front. The rear of the sleeve remains very clean with only minor discolouration. The sleeve has very nice corners. There is an original shop sticker on the top rear edge "Selmans for Records Ltd", also now quite rare. All in all this is a beautiful copy.
An outstanding example of a very collectable piece
