8 LP set containing 124 tracks from across the career of arguably the most important group in rock history.
All records have been play-tested and I would describe them as very good to excellent. In fact, picking one at random (LP 4, Side 2), I'm surprised by how little surface noise there is given its age. The set has had only 2 owners through its entire life and this will likely be part of why it still sounds so good. Here's some short clips from the start of a few of the records (where the most surface noise usually appears) for you to get an idea of how good this set sounds. All samples are recorded directly from turntable to computer at 48kHz, 32-bit (higher than CD quality) and are not doctored in any way. The site I'm using does not reduce the quality down, so you're hearing it exactly as it comes out of my phono preamp.

The box is in excellent condition also although the design would hide defects - I've taken a picture of the worst corner of the box closeup to demonstrate. Otherwise it's solid. The inside is slightly stained with speckles of brown, also pictured. The sleeve for LP 1 has some slight wrinkles in the laminate, possibly manufacturing error. The others are perfect. Contains World Records Guarantee slip.
Despite there being no mention of it, there are a number of special mixes and versions on this set that would have made a good selling point if they'd mentioned it! The Wikipedia entry should detail all the interesting details of the set.
