Description
My research suggests that this is a 1st pressing, Mono PMC 1240. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print, “Recording first published 1964? and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 503-3N with 1 at 9 o'clock and GRA at 3 o'clock; Side 2: XEX 504-3N with 3 at 9 o'clock and RH at 3 o'clock. I've signed it near the spindle on side 1 and inside the gatefold cover (see photo). The spindle hole has slight wear. The record has no scratches or marks and is in a very good condition. It has not been played for over 25 years. The EMITEX inner sleeve is in reasonable condition, marked showing the outline of the record on one side. No splits. Has BEATLES for Sale written on the inner sleeve (see photo). The outer gatefold sleeve is in good condition with a little wear on the corners.
