Description
This is an original mono 2nd state 1966 copy of The Beatles "BUTCHER COVER" Yesterday and Today LP on Capitol Records (CAPITOL T 2553).
Cover is from the Scranton, PA Capitol plant (indicated by a 3 next to the RIAA seal at lower-left back).
Image #8 shows Ringo's turtleneck "V" visible through paste-over. Image #4 shows original cover visible at upper-right under slightly misaligned paste-over.
- Cover shows significant wear / water damage / staining (see photos). Circular stain (from a small bottle of Coca-Cola, maybe?) and a large crease at lower right. Scotch tape "cross" at upper-left outlined in blue ballpoint. Spine and seams show significant splitting.
- Record (from the Jacksonville, IL plant) is in nice shape with a few light scuffs.
- Includes original period correct "CAPITOL '66" inner sleeve with small center splits at left side.
