SIGNED BY BAND MEMBER JOE MOLLAND ON THE INNER RECORD BAG.
Joseph "Joey" Charles Molland (born 21st June 1947, Edge Hill, Liverpool, England) is an English composer and rock guitarist whose recording career spans four decades. He is best known as a member of Badfinger, the most successful of the acts he performed with.
Originally a member of small rock groups around Liverpool, such as The Assassins and The Profiles, Molland's recording career began in 1965 when he joined The Masterminds. This group released a single on Immediate Records IM 005, consisting of a Bob Dylan cover of "She Belongs to Me" backed with a band original "Taken My Love". After this the group disbanded and Molland joined the backing group of The Merseys. Although never recording with the group, Molland accompanied them on tour.
Molland auditioned for the band Badfinger in November 1969 and was subsequently hired. Badfinger were a conspicuous Apple Records recording group at the time (a label launched by The Beatles). The band enjoyed an early string of successful singles and albums for the next couple of years. During Molland's association with Apple, he made guest appearances on two George Harrison albums, All Things Must Pass and The Concert For Bangla Desh, and the John Lennon album Imagine.
This Badfinger LP was released by Apple Records in the UK in 1970.
The Vinyl LP is on the traditional Apple Records label., with Manufactured in the UK label text.
Both sides of the record labels are in Near Mint condition, bright undamaged record labels with no more than a couple of light centre spider trails.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Near Mint condition, the vinyl disc has a couple of light surface hairlines, but no scratches or scuffs.
The side 1 matrix SAPCOR 12A-1 and Side 2: SAPCOR 12B-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 R & Side 2 stampers: 1R .
The album plays Perfectly throughout with NO skips or clicks, great sound quality.
The album comes in white Made in Great Britain inner sleeve and is in Excellent condition, with no seam splits, just age toning. The inner sleeve has been Signed in Black Felt Tip Pen by Joe Molland, the Autograph and Dedication Reads, To Johnie All the best from Joe molland Bad Finger xxxx 15.1.72.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL glossy laminated card picture sleeve which is in Very Good Plus condition, the sleeve has a 2” split at the top, and a rub mark at the bottom on the reverse.
A very nice example, of this UK Badfinger **FIRST ISSUE** Apple album, great music content.
