The Beatles Alpha Omega Vol. 1 & 2
Selling the Beatles Alpha Omega Vol.1 and 2.Total of 8 LPs. These are the original Audio Tape, Inc. releases, which you can tell by the cover art color scheme. Pink Label. The first set does is not indicated as Vol.1 as it was the only set at the time. The second set is labeled Vol. 2 at the bottom.
Condition:
Media = VG+
Cover/box = VG
The boxes show significant wear but fully intact. There are no inserts, just the LPs with the sleeves. Volume 1 has a name written on the labels from presumably the previous or original owner. The vinyl are in pretty good shape, but some scratches and smudges are visible in the light. I took some photos but if you need more, please just message me.
Audio:
I tested the audio of all 8 LPs. They play fine, with only minor pops and crackles occasionally. Volume 1, side 3 “I Should’ve Known Better” has the most noise (popping and crackling) but nothing too bad. The noise does not overpower the music. Most of the time there is no noise.
About the box set:
These are the unofficial release from 1972 and 1973 of a collection of the Beatles (and some solo tracks) songs. Some people took advantage of the loose copyright laws in New Jersey and created their own boxset. It was even advertised on radio and TV at the time and sold very well. Although it was an unauthorized release, it was because of the success of this set that prompted the Beatles to release the two compilation albums “1962-1966” and “1967-1970” (the Red Album and the Blue Album).
