Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. Please note the very 1st AR copies are identifiable by the absence of the 'Her Majesty' credit on the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover, but with the mis-aligned Apple logo on the rear. This, effectively, is the 1st variation to exist for this title. At 1st release they decided to re-align the text and the logo for all future copies. We also have the original black inner sleeve..NOT a reproduction! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has clearly only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Anyone familiar with these 1st pressing will know what I mean when I mention that the audio is "dreamy"! It has tremendous warmth and texture resolving all complex and low-key passages with precision and in an assured manner. Getting very difficult to find fault at all... I will mention that you might pick out a couple of light crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side.. Rest assured that this copy will transport you straight back to '69. It will get you as close as is humanly possible to purchasing a copy on the day of release in Sept 69..and giving it a spin right there and then..FINAL UPGRADE. I've never heard a better copy...period!
 Cover (Ex/Ex+) Again, the original owner must have been one fastidious individual. The front is pristine looking, flat and with just a couple of thumbnail creases near the opening. The rear looks equally good and I can barely make out a single crease - and there's no laminate lift either. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings still sharp. The corners have not been bumped and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover sits perfectly flat and retains all of its original rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits or tears...quite difficult to believe it's original....BUT IT IS!
