THE BEATLES: ‘A COLLECTION OF BEATLES OLDIES’ – AN ORIGINAL 1966 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LP – PCS 7016
A collection of Beatles Oldies was originally released by Parlophone UK on the 9th December 1966, in both mono and stereo formats, and the only 1960s Beatles compilation Album.
This is an original 1966 UK first issue Vinyl LP for The Beatles ‘A Collection of Beatles Oldies’ album.
The Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Sold in UK…’ label text and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’.
The record labels are in undamaged Excellent Plus superb condition, clean and unfaded record labels, that show only a few signs of play to the centre of each record label.
The official side 1 matrix is YEX 619-1G, & Side 2 matrix is YEX 620-1G.
Side 1 stampers: 3 RR and Side 2: 2 RR.
Both sides of the vinyl LP are in beautiful Near Mint condition, unmarked LP surfaces with just a couple of light surface hairlines.
The LP plays with beautiful sound quality throughout all of the tracks.
The LP comes in an original EMI Records Advertising inner bag, which is in Excellent Plus condition, no seam splits, handwriting or tearing, just some age toning. The bag advertises this album and Revolver, and also other EMI releases.
And is housed in it’s original Collection of Beatles Oldies glossy front laminated Garrod and Lofthouse Patents Pending stereo Sleeve which is in beautiful Near Mint condition, a very glossy colourful front panel with very light signs of LP storage, the reverse of the sleeve is super clean, showing only a light handling signs. All edges, corners and the spine edge are perfect, and the spine edge wording is clearly legible.
A beautiful example of this Original 1966 Beatles stereo LP with fantastic sound quality.
