The Beatles ‘65 on Rainbow Capitol label
The record is NM to excellent condition. Not a mark on it under close examination.
The cover is Excellent and very clean. White, no seam splits, perfect spine and a very minor corner bump. You may also notice a “razor line” running along the corners under the stamps. This is standard on all promos like this. They would remove the plastic to apply the stamp. I have sealed copies with this same exact line. So I am not counting this as damage to the cover. It is not cut through, it is just a light score.
Black rainbow/color band label, rim print in colorband, no barcode.
There were 2 80s Black Capitol rainbow band label variations. This one was pressed 1986-87 at Specialty Record Corporation (The large S surrounding R and C stamped in the run-out), also identified by smooth indent/notch approx 3/4" from edge of label and glossy finish. The SRC pressings also have more etchings on the run-out. Both sides also are stamped MASTERED BY CAPITOL.
The earlier 1983-85 rainbow label pressings were pressed by Capitol without the smooth indentation, no SRC stamp and a dull label finish: Beatles '65
