Description
This is the original UK 2nd pressing of the Mono album "Sgt Pepper" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label, catalogue number PMC 7027. Matrix numbers: Side 1, XEX 637-1. Side 2, XEX 638-1. Stampers Side 1, MMO @ 3 O'clock, 6@ 9 O'clock. Side 2, MAT @ 3 O'clock, 7 @ 9 O'clock. Labels are in beautiful condition showing relatively minor spindle lines each side. Side 2 label omits the track lisitng for "A Day in The Life. Vinyl side 1 retains it's sheen and looks unmarked until tilted to the light and then only light insignificant lines / sleeve removal lines can be seen. Side 2 is in similar condition.
Not only has this item got the missing track listing which in it'self is rare but it is in outstanding condition EX+.
The plain white inner is in EX++ condition.
The outer sleeve is in remarkable condition with a couple of the lightest creases to the front panel. The sleeve retains full colour back and front with a strong readable spine EX+. Outstanding condition.
The record plays beautifully with crystal clarity and very little if any background noise.
This is a remarkable example of a quite collectable item that does not frequently surface in such condition.
