Description

This is a beautifully well cherished example of the seminal 1968 Beatles White Album, no. 0610943, top loading 1st pressing, presented in it's original, valve cut, mono mix that the Beatles themselves approved. There is no better way to listen to this album. Do not let the threat of digitally remastered Beatles music intimidate you, especially a watered down stereo mix that erases all the punch and authority of the Beatles magnificent band dynamic.

VISUAL INFORMATION

  • Featuring all original inserts - 4 photographs (including their protective paper sheet) and a poster all in near mint condition
  • Black die cast record sleeves - both in excellent condition, hairline scuffs and one criminally minor rip
  • Traditional dark green Apple labels all citing 'Sold in UK subject to resale price conditions, see price lists'
  • The spine of the album cover is slightly creased but still better than most original examples of this record I've come across
  • Matrix numbers: Side 1 (XEX709-1) Side 2 (XEX710-2) Side 3 (XEX711-1) Side 4 (XEX712-1)
  • The records themselves are beautifully clean, shining as new and only suffering one or two hairline marks on each side, not affecting play whatsoever.
  • Mothers & Stampers - Side 1 (Mother 1 - Stamper RG) Side 2 (Mother 2 - Stamper GMC) Side 3 (Mother 1 - Stamper H) Side 4 (Mother 7 - Stamper GRO)

RECORD INFORMATION

  • The analog depth and valve warmth present in these grooves is a delight to the ears, delivering the purity of the music with all justice it deserves
  • All four sides play very smoothly and clean with only light static occasionally surfacing between tracks or in very quiet passages
  • Surface noise is wonderfully low and there are no intrusive pops or clicks on any of the tracks
  • A minor amount of distortion was present towards the very inner tracks. Imperfect setup of testing equipment may be at fault here.

This is a scarcely well kept example of a beautiful album. Please don't hesitate to ask if you've any questions.
