WITH RARER WIDE SPINE STEREO SLEEVE, BRIGHT LABELS AND VINYL, TOTALLY COMPLETE, 100% ORIGINAL!
Summary:
No doubt, one of the ICONIC albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone UK on the 1st June 1967. The album went straight to Number one, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
FIRST ISSUE **MONO** VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels labels.
Both record labels are in Near Mint condition, BRIGHT undamaged labels, showing only a couple of light signs of play to the centre spindle holes.
Side 1 stamped matrix: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 2 GPD and Side 2: 2 LD.
There is an embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in beautiful Near Mint condition, super clean and bright well cared for Vinyl surfaces, showing only a couple of light surface hairlines.
Audio Quality:
The album plays with great sound quality from beginning to end.
The Vinyl Disc comes in it’s ORIGINAL Made in Gt Britain flame inner bag, the bag is undamaged with just light creases, there are no seam splits.
The album comes with an original first Issue Sgt Pepper Cut-Out, which is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED condition, with just light rub marks.
…..And is protected in it’s ORIGINAL First Issue RARE WIDER SPINE Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back GATEFOLD Sleeve correctly printed ‘PMC 7027 mono’ to the reverse.
This Gatefold Sleeve is in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition. The sleeve still retains its laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with NO fading to the colours, and mild record indentation, and just a few manufacturing laminate pinches on the reverse of the sleeve. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only light corner bumps to the spine edge. The inside part of the Gatefold Sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition, and the two internal fold over flaps are UNDAMAGED. The WIDE spine edge is clean, firm with light age toning, and clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
