Description

Up for auction is a SUPER RARE & OUT-OF-PRINT vinyl copy of the various artists song poem compilation album, "Tom Ardolino presents The Beat of the Traps," on Carnage Press Records.  Carnage Press Records Cat.# CP714.  This is an original pressing, not a reissue.

Cover is in NM condition.  Still in opened shrinkwrap.  No seam splitting or staining.
Vinyl is NM- condition.  Only one minor defect...a slight warp (probably just a mis-press issue) on the outer edge of disc that does not affect playback.  No skipping on either of my turntables.  Glossy!!!

Crazy outsider music that was the result of ads in newspapers and magazines soliciting lyrics (& money) to set to music.  Often viewed as a scam, misrepresenting the business model as a sure way to find success at the top of the pop charts, the results are amazingly otherworldly!  Highlights include, "Do You Know the Difference Between Big Wood & Brush," "Jimmy Carter Says 'Yes'," "Little Rug Bug," "Santa Claus Goes Modern (later covered by Yo La Tengo)," "Richard Nixon," etc.  For more info about the song-poem phenomenon, see the great documentary "Off the Charts."

I will gladly ship internationally and/or combine shipping for multiple items.  Just ask for a quote before the auction ends.
No returns, no refunds. Payment must be received within 5 days of winning bid.
Check out my other auctions.  I'll be putting up quite a few new record selections for auction this week.
