"Dance, Dance, Dance" is a song written by Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson and Mike Love for the American singing group, The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1965 album The Beach Boys Today!. It was also released as a single in 1964, with the B-side of the single being "The Warmth of the Sun." The single peaked at #8 in the U.S. and #24 in the U.K. The song was released in mono, but a recently unearthed stereo version was released on their Hawthorne compilation. Wilson Phillips recorded a cover version for their California album. Also, a version with different lyrics appears on the Today CD as a bonus track.

In November 1969, the Wilson's father Murry Wilson sold the copyrights to the band's songs to Irving Almo for approximately $700,000.[1] In April 1992, just after Brian Wilson had won a lawsuit which recovered many of the copyrights to his songs, Mike Love filed a lawsuit against Brian Wilson claiming that he had not been given credit, and therefore hadn't received royalties, on over thirty of the band's songs, many of them hit singles.[2] The list of songs included "Dance, Dance, Dance", which was one of many songs around this time that Mike claimed he had not been given credit for. The song was originally credited to Brian and Carl Wilson but Mike Love claimed that he had a hand in writing the lyrics. Mike Love won the lawsuit and the song-writing credit was amended, therefore ensuring future royalties on all of the songs that he had claimed he had a hand in writing.

"The Warmth of the Sun" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American pop band The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1964 album Shut Down Volume 2 and as the B-side of the "Dance, Dance, Dance" single, which charted at number eight in the United States and number twenty-four in the United Kingdom. Brian Wilson produced the song, and the rest of the album. He also sang lead vocals on the song, which was written on the evening of President John Kennedy's assassination at the now-defunct Hotel El Dorado in Sacramento, California.

The song was covered by the Wilsons' (Brian, Carl and Dennis) father on his one and only album, The Many Moods of Murry Wilson, which was released in 1967 under Capitol Records. In 2006, it was remade by Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes, which is the side project of Matt Thiessen. Thiessen is the lead singer of the Christian rock band Relient K, and has said on many occasions that the Beach Boys are among his favorite bands.

Vince Gill performed a cover version at "An All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson (2001)" concert.

In 2006, Matthew Sweet and Bangles lead singer Susanna Hoffs recorded the song for their collaboration, "Under the Covers, Vol. 1."
