VINYL is NM
5 sides are pristine. 1 side shows faintest sleeve scuff. Entire set plays like new throughout.
Original 1st issue GROOVED Palm Trees WB labels are immaculate all sides.

COVER is VG+
1st issue gold imprinted, embossed, textured cover has promo sticker on front, generally very clean and solid all around. Mere hint of wear; soft corner crease and few light spots around edges. Seams and spine are solid all sides, with wear to center of top seam and a few spots, light wear to spine; all spine copy is legible. No tears or splits.

BOOKLET is EX+
Super clean with no creases, wear, soil, tears, fingerprints dog ears or other marks. Very light ring impression crescent at top.

You may know this was The Band's farewell performance -a monumental rock event on Thanksgiving Evening, 1976 at Bill Graham's Winterland in San Francisco... and made into a timeless documentary film by a young Martin Scorsese. Many people consider that the greatest rock movie ...and this the greatest recording of a live performance of all time.
 
The entire concert is on these 3 LP discs (with fully half of the show including stellar guest appearances by some of The Band's 'friends' -much of the cream of rock and roll at the time): Ronnie Hawkins, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr, Gospel legends: The Staple Singers, Emmylou Harris, Ron Wood, Paul Butterfield and Dr. John (on mean guitar and congas, besides his outstanding R&B piano). -all playing with ROBBIE ROBERTSON, LEVON HELM, RICK DANKO, GARTH HUDSON and RICHARD MANUAL beside them. Also involved were Allen Toussaint, John Simon, Jim Gordon and New Orleans singer, Bobby Charles. The performances make clear that all involved were giving their best for the historic occasion, out their love and respect for "THE BAND".

The sound on this 1st issue promo vinyl is outstandingly bright and dynamic.
You won't find this music ever sounding any clearer or more faithfully revealed than
on these 3 well cared for discs.

The original inner sleeves are also included, in super-clean, unsplit condition, though the discs are kept in additional anti-static poly sleeves to preserve both the vinyl and the original inners.

*This 3 LP set will be very carefully packed:
the 3 vinyl discs will be in anti-static sleeves, together with the (empty) custom inner sleeves plus the booklet, all snug in a separate LP poly outer sleeve from the cover. You will not have to worry about any splitting seams in the mail. MORE IMPORTANT: the wide pocket cover (packed inside another poly outer sleeve) will have 2 sheets of 11 3/4" square cardboard flats inserted, so it will NOT CRUSH from the weight of the vinyl outside of it. EASY, but nobody thinks to take this added precaution! All of this inside my standard protection: 2 layers of bubble wrap all sides and extra full size corrugated flats above and below. Packed inside a sturdy LP mailer box -marked fragile.
