The Band - Music From Big Pink
(Capitol ST 2955 UK LP 1968)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has "rainbow rim" Capitol labels. The record has 1st press A-5/ B-6 matrix stampers. This is a genuine UK 1st Stereo pressing of this classic late 1960's "Roots Rock" LP.
Sleeve: There is mild, more moderate to moderate rubbing wear at the sleeve opening edges. This is not too noticeable. There is a small stain in the top right corner of the rear sleeve. There is a light or very mild crease in all 4 corner tip areas. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is mild fading to the "white" of the sleeve. There is light, mild or very mild staining/ foxing on the rear sleeve on some areas too. There is a 3 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the centre of the top edge. Overall, Very Good minus condition
Vinyl: This record was kept in an outer clear PVC sleeve. This, over time, has sadly reacted with the vinyl & has left mild, more moderate or moderate dull surface PVC marks, or streaks, across Side 1 only. There are none on Side 2. They do not affect playback at all. Otherwise, there are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. Side 1 is in Very Good minus condition. Only because of the PVC streaks. Side 2 is in Very Good++ condition. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The plain paper inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is a small 1.5 cm seam split at the centre of one side. Otherwise, there is light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & foxing.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are 2 or 3 mild clicks toward the end of Side 1. Overall, an Excellent audio copy.
