Description
Here's a nice, unplayed (*) copy of the cool 2003 Rhino Handmade version of The Band's "Last Waltz." This is my "safe" copy and the vinyl is unplayed (see asterisk below). I opened it to see what the number was (see attached pix) since it wasn't visible from the outside. You'll see from the pix that the box is loaded with extras in addition to the Robbie Robertson signature, including a number of photo and painting reproductions plus reproductions of the original invitation, the ticket, a list of who was paid what, a large poster and a pin. It's an excellent, signed version of an essential LP set!
(*) The LPs were untouched in their original sleeves until I removed them to take the pix shown here (afterwards I replaced them in non-static sleeves, which will be included along with the originals). I thought I'd check the condition of the vinyl while I was at it and noticed a couple of scuffs on LP1/Side 2. Strangely, my other copy has scuffs in the same area. I decided to play that side once to see if the scuffs were audible, in the interest of full disclosure. I heard a couple of faint noises in that area, but it wasn't clear to me whether or not those were the result of the scuffs.
