The Band - (2nd album) - Japanese pressing LP. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail Ist Class. Catalogue No: ECS-40036, 1977 re. Critically rated as one of the most influential albums of the 70's for its connections to what would become known as 'Americana' this album is an absolute treat. And in one very particular way... Since I have access to my own large collection + the stock that I bring in from Japan + a decent hifi system, sometimes I compare different versions in close detail. With this title it was up against a fairly highly-rated recent US reissue which I thought was great & splashed out for at a record fair. It's what's known as a Scranton pressing from 2000, Catalogue No: STAO-1332. This Japanese pressing won and easily so! And I have another one for myself as well! It's complete with obi & insert, the former being slightly faded and a bit tatty on the back. The cover is pretty smart with only minor corner bends. As you'd expect from me, the vinyl is unmarked & lustrous since it's been on my Moth Mk2 RCM. I'll say it again - this album is an absolute treat.
