Description
Here is a very nice, early pressing, copy of the Beatles' LP "Beatles For Sale" from 1964 on Parlophone PMC 1240. The overall condition is Excellent.
The label of this early pressing contains the tax information: "Sold in U.K. Subject to Resale Price Conditions. See Price Lists"
The matrix information is: Side One: XEX 503-4N, plus the initials 'BLD' and the Number '2,' and for Side Two: XEX 504-3N, plus the initials 'RHG' and the Number '6' plus an indecipherable digit.
As for the vinyl, the vinyl looks Near Mint. I play tested some of each cut. Looking at Side One there is a click after I'm A Loser and on Side Two two clicks at the end of Words of Love. Other than that, the parts that I played were fine with no clicks or pops. There was silence in the lead-in grooves and in the grooves between cuts.
The cover is definitely in Near Mint/Mint condition. This cover is the 60's "flip back" type where parts of the back cover flips over onto the right side of the inner gatefold. The colors of the front cover and of the back cover are still bright and unfaded. It's amazing that they have stayed that way for the past 62 years since this LP was issued!
