Description

The BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM - APPLE 1st PRESS VINYL LP -1/-1/-1/-1 - Low Number.
An original, rare, top opening and low numbered white album (24,972), complete with poster, stills and original black inners.
This is also the version which left off 'An EMI Recording' from the labels - another sign it was an early edition. Plus the mono issues are more rare than stereos. Disc 2 also has very low stampers.
It's good all-round - very good in parts - and from my own personal collection which I am now selling. It's been stored away for many years by me, barely listened to.
Here's a detailed breakdown so you know what to expect:
The cover is very good - one of the nicest ones I've had ... strong, clean and sturdy. It's a little discoloured in places (just age related) and just a little light feathering to the top opening parts. The only blemish is a mark on the back (pictured) where it looks like its nicked something. But it really is nice all-round.
The poster is excellent - no rips or tears. The four photos are excellent too.
The black inners are original and good for their age, but not perfect. There are a number of creases  - and a tear around the rim of one. But these are notoriously fragile - so certainly respectable compared to many out there.
The vinyl labels are very good - minimal spindle wear. The vinyl itself is still glossy and shiny - but both sides do bear some light scuffs and hairlines. They've been used but looked after, I'd say. I play tested it on my machine and it was fine - expect sticking on Martha My Dear. I haven't cleaned it or anything - and my machine isn't particularly specialist (1980s Sony hi-fi) so you may have more success. But I can't guarantee a clean play.
The matrixes and stamps are side 1 XEX 709-1 .... 5/HG. Side 2 XEX 710-1 ... 7/HA Side 3 XEX 711 -1 ... 2/P Side 4 XEX 712-1 ...1/T
So this is a really nice - but not perfect - example of an early white album - low number and rare EMI misprint to boot.
I do always try to grade honestly and show lots of photos. But record grading is subjective. If you have any questions please email me - we both want the same thing, which is a happy sale.
*Please note that the postage quoted is for the UK only. Anywhere else and that is subject to change*
Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
