I'm not going to give a grading, as this is subjective and can vary according to expectations. Besides which, there are 30 tracks in total, ranging from very loud to very gentle. Instead I have given a detailed description of the audio and the visual appearance, which I think is far more helpful and accurate.
Disc 1: Audio is about as good as you could reasonably expect from an original stereo disc. Having been more frequently played than the second disc, the track run-ins occasionally produce some mild static crackle, which is not uncommon on stereo pressings. However, ALL tracks play without any noticeable interference. There are NO pops or clicks. The disc still retains a good gloss lustre, with just the lightest of marks/needle lines, only really visible against reflected light.
Disc 2: Being from the same set, this disc is in similar overall condition to disc 1. Having received fewer plays than disc 1, there is no noise through the track run-ins and audio is crystal clear throughout. There is a barely visible needle line across some the track Revolution 9 which does produce some soft rotational clicks, but apart from that, all tracks play without fault.
Both sets of labels omit 'An E.M.I. Recording', synonymous with a true 1st pressing, although it is incorrect to assume that those carrying this information are always 2nd pressings. Both examples were present on the day of release, having been 'hand-set' on different presses. The labels with the missing information were simply withdrawn or subsequently, had the text added. It is not unusual to find original discs with mismatched side 1 and 2 labels showing both variations.
Both labels carry a 'Factory Sample' sticker. Someone has written what looks like 13/(2 or 8) on one of the stickers.
COVER: # 0464494 This is a great example and hard to find, this good. There is some laminate splitting along the spine and the inevitable beige toning which is fairly even throughout. The outer panels are very smooth. Please bear in mind that digital cameras always make the covers look white for some reason. ALL original 'White Albums' changed colour almost immediately, due to the pigment used; there are NO original covers that are white. The last photo is closer to its actual colour and is a true representation of how the majority of covers look; some a little lighter, some much darker but none that are snow white.
BLACK SINGLE DIE-CUT INNERS: Made from soft paper, these have survived in remarkable condition and are about as good as you are likely to find.
THE LYRICS POSTER: The original one was missing from this set, so I have replaced it with an original in near perfect condition. It is very white, with NO age toning and just the beginning of a tear on two of the fold lines. It is otherwise completely intact.
THE 4 PHOTOS: These are in perfect condition apart from some tape residue at the corners.
THE PHOTO SPACER SHEET: Perfect but with some visible creasing all over.  To save time, the sets of photos were sent to retailers to insert into the album covers at the point of sale. They came in boxes and each set was separated by a thin sheet of paper which was then supposed to be discarded. It was probably more convenient and less wasteful for the retailer to simply pop them into the cover along with the photos.

The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.
