THE BEATLES - 'Rubber Soul'

This superb MONO first pressing of their 7th Italian album PMCQ 31509 dates from early 1966.

It is on the beautiful original Italian 1st press black & silver Dischi PARLOPHON label.

Stamped Matrices read XEX 579 T1 30 12 65 and XEX 580 T1 30 12 65.

The record is housed in a fully laminated single sleeve.

CONDITION

Record visual: VERY GOOD+

The record has deep-gloss playing surfaces with only a couple of harmless inner-sleeve removal marks. 

Closer inspection directly beneath halogen light add little more than a few insignificant wispy paper hairlines.

There's one visible mark / non-feelable scratch to report of between tracks A2 and A3.

Both sides of this high-quality pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Record audio: EXCELLENT

Carefully and rarely played on good equipment only, the sound is warm and fully of presence throughout. Our careful play-check revealed a touch of regular vinyl background and single soft clicks between tracks. There's a number of clicks at the very end of track A2 right into the beginning of track A3. Apart from this there's no other audible distraction or issue. No distortion at all, even "Michelle" (A7) plays without the usual groove-wear.

Cover: EXCELLENT-

The beautiful fully laminated Italian version of "Rubber Soul" not only has a completely different back cover design to the standard UK sleeve,

but also an altered font for the album's title. The cover is in great condition and without any unwanted writing, tears, thumbnail-creasing or any other blemishes. All four corners are without bumps or bruising. The only thing that prevents from an even higher grading is a 2" split to the top seam (please see photo no. 7).

Labels: EXCELLENT+

Both labels are very clean and without any blemishes, unwanted writing or sticker residues.

I stick to the 'RECORD COLLECTOR' grading system (please see below). Satisfaction guaranteed!

EXCELLENT: The Record Shows Some Signs Of Having Been Played, But There Is Very Little Lessening In Sound Quality. The Cover And Packaging Might Have Slight Wear And / Or Creasing.

VERY GOOD: The Record Has Obviously Been Played Many Times, But Displays No Major Deterioration In Sound Quality, Despite Noticeable Surface Marks And The Occasional Light Scratch. Normal Wear And Tear On The Cover Or Extra Items, Without Any Major Defects, Is Acceptable.
