Here is a very early first issue of this iconic album, which has the lowest 2/2 matrix endings. It also carries 1R / 1P stamper codes, meaning that it would have been among some of the initial copies available upon the first day of release in the U.K. on the 3rd December 1965. ================================================================
THE DISC
Matrix: Side One: YEX 178-2 Stamper: 1-R Side Two: YEX 179-2 Stamper: 1-P
AUDIO - VG+
The tracks play with undiminished sound quality throughout and probably deserve a higher grade but there is noticeable surface noise/crackle through the run-ins. However, this is largely overpowered by the tracks themselves and disappears while the songs are playing, it is more evident on the gentle 'Michelle' but not enough to spoil the overall listening experience. There are no skips, repeats or repetitive clicks. This is still a very nice stereo copy.
VISUALLY - EX
The vinyl surfaces have retained their deep gloss lustre and really only display just a limited number of visible but harmless surface lines when tilted against reflected light. Obviously, there are numerous wispy handling lines when viewed against very powerful light but this is in keeping with any vinyl disc that has ever been handled.
The labels do show some age spotting, more evident when tilted against reflected light. The spindle trials are mainly contained within the centre circle, suggesting careful handling of the disc.

THE COVER - EX
Printed by Ernest J Day, this example is in excellent condition. The front panel does have the usual mild perimeter wrinkles and there are some crescent impressions near to the open edge. The spine is absolutely 'mint' and the corners are nice and square. The unprotected back panel has age toned but is in perfect condition. The tri-flips are near perfect. The opening edges are arrow straight. It would be hard to find a better original issue.

THE INNER SLEEVE - EX-
This is the correct 'Made In England' rice paper lined inner. Lovely condition apart from age toning, some creasing and a small central split on the bottom seam where the disc has penetrated.

The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.
I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look
