Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    No...it's a third pressing...(still from 1966)with flipback cover: glossy laminated front; matt back...yellow and black labels...comes with original rice-paper-lined Emitex inner sleeve...

Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 ...and... XEX 606-3

Stamper Codes:    OA  ...and...  MH

CONDITION:

COVER: ( VG++ )...FRONT: beautiful!...has some very minor crinkles/creases on the spine and lower seam...with only minor scuffing in the corners...plus a small section where the laminate has 'lifted' in the bottom left corner (however it hasn't broken or torn)...BACK: has 'white-out' dots on the album title with some light pink showing through, where I assume there was some red pen marks beneath at some stage...plus the 3 flipback flaps have foxing (light brown 'age-ing' marks)...and apart from those, it's also in beautiful condition...

RECORD: ( VG- )...has many marks all over the disc...most are not heavy, but there are some which are...it plays through all of them well though, with the exception of one jump near the beginning of "Eleanor Rigby"...also has a fair few crackles, but they're softer than the music, so the whole thing is still a great LOUD listen!...

LABELS: (Side One: EX- / Side Two: EX )...

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep in secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
