Description
This is an original, 1963 UK pressing of the classic Beatles 7inch single Please Please Me - B Side is Ask Me Why
This record is on the Parlophone record label, number 45-R 4983 and comes complete with original (and rarer) beach type Parlophone outer sleeve
MATRIX NUMBERS : Side 1 7XCE 17217 - 1N stampers "PT" at 9 o'clock and "G 1.1" at 2 o'clock Side 2 - 7XCE 17218 - 1N stampers "1.1 PT1" at 9 o'clock and "G R" at 3 o'clock : a true very first pressing!

The condition of the vinyl is Very Good minus: some of the original vinyl sheen has been retained and the appearance of the vinyl is certainly good; under a bright light there are many very thin, surface only spindly hairlines but absolutely nothing deep rooted and no nasty scuffs. The quality of the audio is also Very Good. There are no clicks, "pops", skips, or jumps and the level of crackle is minimal. The record labels would be EXCELLENT if it were not for the obvious biro scribbles which are clearly visible and shown in all their glory in the accompanying photos...a true shame. The "M" and "T" tax codes are clearly visible adjacent to the spindle hole on side 1, and there are just a few, surface only, spindle trails immediately next to the centre hole itself. The original Parlophone beach type sleeve is in excellent condition with no splits or tears and is fully functional .
This really would be a very, very good copy of this increasingly rare and highly sought after Beatles 1st pressing were it not for the very noticeable biro blemishes on each of the labels.

Excellent Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.Fair
Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
