Vintage Authentic 1964 U.S. Original Picture Sleeve / 33 RPM Record
The Beatles & Murray the "K" - "AS It HAPPENED" Record Catalog # VRRNP-1021
Murray Kaufman (February 14, 1922 – February 21, 1982), professionally known as Murray the K, was an influential New York City rock and roll impresario and disc jockey of the 1950s, '60s and '70s. During the early days of Beatlemania, he frequently referred to himself as the fifth Beatle.
This is the version where the record is labeled "Murray The "K" and the Fab Four" instead of "Murray The "K" and The Beatles"
This sleeve with the original record is a great addition to anyone's Beatles collection. It contains the interview with the Beatles when they arrived in America by famed DJ Murray the K - New York City
Colorful record sleeve is vibrant in white, gray, black and red. The sleeve is in Vg++ to Ex condition with no rips or tears. It does have one very minor bottom corner bump and some light creases.
The record is glossy and in Vg+ condition. The vinyl is very thick compared to other 7" records. (Remember, this is a 59-year-old record). Side two has a tiny white dot in the runout which appears to be from the label when it was manufactured. See photos. It does not affect play because it is in the runout (after the groove play).
This is from my personal record collection. I am not a record buyer/re-seller.
Beatles picture sleeves (without the actual record) are going up in value due to their collectability. Rarebeatles.com website - (http://rarebeatles.com/sleeves/sleeves.htm) last updated February 2022, lists the picture sleeve value for this item at $200.00 in NM condition. This does not include the value of the record. This picture sleeve is in Vg+ condition so the value is less than $200.00 but is rising in value and collectability.
All vintage Beatles records and memorabilia are constantly rising in value.
Sleeve and 33rpm record will be placed in a protective clear vinyl record protector and mailed with cardboard protection squares inside the record package box for safe handling of picture sleeve/vinyl.
