TWO Collectible Beatles LPs up for auction together, only 99 pence start!
1. With The Beatles DECCA PRESSING
2. Rubber Soul LOUD CUT
1. The Beatles ‘WITH THE BEATLES ‘ MONO PMC 1206
Decca Pressing, Labels very good with the distinctive Decca pressing groove around each label.
Slight warp on turntable, does not affect play.
VINYL visual, very good. Surface scratches visible.
Plays very well apart from a few skips during playback. I counted 7 altogether.
Side 1
1 skip-It Won’t Be Long and All I’ve Got To Do and All My Loving and Don’t Bother Me
Side 2
1 skip-Hold Me Tight and 2 skips-You Really Got a Hold on Me
The cover has a very dark grainy photo on the front which was lightened up considerably in later pressings. It also has ‘You Really Gotta Hold On Me’ side 2 track 3 title. There is general handling wear and is in good condition. Some wear and tear where the record goes into the cover. Interestingly, it has a small record shop sticker on the top flipback. The original Emitex poly lined inner sleeve is present and in good condition.
Overall a good Decca pressing shelf filler. You can still play and enjoy this record despite its glitches.
2. RUBBER SOUL (LOUD CUT) XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1
Visually there are a lot of surface scratches and spindle markings. This record has been well played but when playing it still has a nice mono sound with occasional crackles and pops. There is a slight skip in ‘Nowhere Man’ and Michelle on side 1 and ‘What Goes On’ on side 2. Side 2 is better with fewer crackles and pops. Overall it rates as a GOOD vinyl, far from perfect but still listenable.
The G & L cover is VERY GOOD, a very respectable copy. The inner opaque EMITEX is also a very solid example
