Description
The Beatles Let it Be LP with RED APPLE logo on rear and the GET BACK book originally released together on 8th May 1970 in a black presentation box, 6 months before the record only! Unfortunately the box has become separated from the LP and book, so this auction is for the record and book only.

You can tell this LP was originally included in the box set because the spine is almost non-existent, compared to the later green apple release.
The record itself does have quite a lot of surface scratches and scuff marks and my stylus jumps all the way through ‘Maggae Mae’, (mercifully a very short track!) however it plays very well with some surface crackling, a very occasional pop and the aforementioned skip and I would rate it as VG-.
The cover is worn and slightly torn at the record entrance and there is a tiny pinhole mark in the top left hand corner, generally VG condition. There is a plain white inner sleeve which is a replacement.
In the GET BACK book, as most of them have done over the years, about half of its pages from have come loose from the spine. I do believe however, none are actually missing, unfortunately on six pages, somebody, who thought it was a good idea at the time, has cut out a picture within each page. So it is not 100% complete. Despite that the book is clean and there is no marking or defacing of the pictures or text apart from a few cut out pictures on 6 pages.
Overall a good opportunity to pick up the record and book in fairly good nick without spending a fortune! Thanks for checking this item out and do have a look at my others!
