Description

The BEATLES 

"LADY MADONNA" b/w "THE INNER LIGHT" 

7" single...pressed in Australia...on Parlophone (distributed by E.M.I. [Australia] Ltd. here...catalogue number: A-8293)...

There were THREE LABEL VARIATIONS of this 45 issued here - and this is the first of those designs - and the first pressing:

LABEL VARIATION #1: ...black labels, silver text...(as released here on 29th March 1968)...'NORTHERN SONGS is in upper-case text to the left of the centre-hole on each side. ALL wording is in upright/NON-italic text.

LABEL VARIATION #2: ...black labels, silver text...c. 1974...catalogue number, matrix numbers, and time have been moved to the left of the centre-hole, and 'Northern Songs' is now after the songwriters' credit below the song title. 

LABEL VARIATION #3: ...orange labels, black text...July 1980...

Never in pic sleeve here...comes in its original (correct-design for 1968) Aussie Parlophone company sleeve...

CONDITION:

VINYL: ( VG+ ) ...has light scuffs/marks (only - nothing heavy at all)...plays so well...with very little surface noise...it's a very nice copy and a great listen...

LABELS: (Side One: VG+ / Side Two: EX ) ...has tear on Side One label (which has been 'repaired' with black felt pen - quite a good job actually)...
