Only two Beatles Lp’s were pressed in Finland in the 60’s with the Yellow & Black Parlophone label: ”Sgt. Pepper” and ”A Collection of Beatles Oldies” The quantities were very small, probably just a couple of hundreds, and the UK pressings of the two LP’s are much more common also in Finland.
The Finnish pressings can be identified from the details of the label which is identical with other contemporary Finnish Parlophone releases, more information about this can be found from the web.
Condition of the record : VG(+++) some unhearable marks on heavy vinyl as usual, one circular mark on Yellow submarine which causes a hearable scuff for a little moment (can still be fixed/cleaned?), not very disturbing in my opinion. Otherwise plays quite clean. Hard to find in any condition. Most of the time the output is flawless. Excellent pressing on heavy vinyl. The record is rare in any condition but this copy is still very enjoyable to listen.
Cover is VG+, a nice G&L UK cover (some flipback crease which can be easily fixed if wanted, see the picture). This was released with UK covers in Finland.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: YEX 619-1G, with "2" at 9 o’clock, no stamper letter (as usual with non-UK pressings)
Side 2: YEX 620-1G, with "3" at 9 o’clock, no stamper letter
(actually the matrix numbers are readable when holding the record upside down, so the YEX... is upside down at 12 o'clock and the numbers 2 & 3 respectively at three...)
