Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:
ARTIST: The BEATLES -

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, I believe so...has the outlined 'stereo' word at top right on front cover...flipback inside cover with diagonal (not rounded) corners: glossy laminated front & back; matt inside...yellow and black labels...comes with an original plastic-lined Emitex inner sleeve...
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 (THE 2 HAS BEEN DOUBLE-STAMPED AND IS A LITTLE MESSY) ... and ... YEX 143-1
Stamper Codes: 1G OH ...and... 5 RT (NOT the first stampers, however, but still part of the first run of pressings)
Label specifics:
The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd."
The label DOES have "Recording first published 1964", and also the "Sold in U.K..." statements.
Has embossed 'KT' tax code.
Mono/Stereo Differences:
"No Reply" ....There are differences in the mix between the mono and stereo versions.
"Words Of Love" ....The stereo version is 9 seconds shorter than the mono version.

CONDITION:
COVER: ( VG )...has scuffing in all 4 corners, with some creases in the laminate, and the spine is rough: has tears and scuffing...
RECORD: ( VG[+] )...has many light scuffs/marks, with the only heavier mark being across Tracks 2 & 3 on Side Two...but regardless, those tracks play beautifully with just a few crackles and pops...overall it has a big LOUD cut and the sound leaps out of the speakers...it's a fantastic listen!!...despite grading it's a very nice playing copy...
LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: M- )...beautiful!...
If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks). Thanks for considering this item...Cheers, Jules.

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep in secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
WE MAIL OUT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK.
