The Beatles vinyl LP. Beatles At The BEEB, Volume 13. Compilation of alternate recordings from Beatles radio Broadcasts in England on BBC Radio, 1963. Sometimes with radio banter between the radio host and the Liverpool Lads. There are 13 Volumes from Transcription Records, and a 14th volume called The Lost Beebs. These make a great set of collectable alternate takes mostly from 1963 and 1964, but some from 1962 &1965!! I own Volumes 1-14 and will put most of them up on eBay over the next week so keep an eye out if you like them. All 14 are from the late 80s with just one owner, me, virtually UNPLAYED, maybe once! Kept as keepsakes among hundreds of other Beatle related LPs. So far I am keeping one set but selling the other. Maybe I can help someone else’s dream. I intend to start them all at $50 bidding and reduce by $5 weekly till sold. Let’s do this! The first 11 volumes look similar in cover format to this Volume. Then Vol 12-14 look a bit different, less fantastic, but these make a great collectable subset. Condition is Goldmine EX, vinyl and sleeve. My highest rating. Looks and probably is Unplayed! These tracks are one-take undubbed studio performances, recorded for later broadcast, usually six songs per broadcast, put on the air a week or two later. The Beatles even had their own show for 15 weeks called Pop go the Beatles!! By mid 1963 the Beatles were recording up to 18 songs per session to get a few weeks of tunes on tape!! They recorded 88 different songs over 3 years for the BBC. And about 30 were never recorded for EMI records. They are only available on these records (or CDs). They are all fantastic Beatles tunes from their 300 song repertoire they could perform at any minute!! See the wonderful album notes that explain things track by track. Expensive? Rare? Not to true fans and collectors. And these album covers are worth it all!! LPs rule, perfect size for wall art as single LPs or in groups! The Golden Age of Record Albums! These recordings can be found on CDs around the world, but these full size albums are irreplaceable! Not sure how many of each volume were issued? See images, actual sale item.
