The Beatles 1966 Yesterday and Today 3rd State "Butcher" Album  (3rd State = Paste-over "Trunk Cover" peeled / removed) Here is, in the opinion of many collectors and music historians, the most controversial album cover ever when it was released in 1966; The Beatles Yesterday and Today with the original "Butcher Cover". This is the more scarce stereo version, of which only about 15% were pressed. 
If you are looking for an excellent or better condition copy of this original vintage cover, I wish you success in looking elsewhere, as this one is NOT for you! If, however, you've always wanted to add one of these to your collection but can't afford the cost of a high-end stereo copy, which often sell for thou$and$ instead of hundred$, then this could be The Beatles Butcher Album for you!
With the Trunk Cover having obviously been removed be someone who is NOT a professional, the damage to this cover is extensive, and I doubt I can accurately describe or detail the condition of this any better than you can see for yourself by viewing my photos.  Basic details include the top and spine seams being complete (but still with some damage), while the bottom seam is completely split, theres some cover warping and the back cover exhibits obvious (now-dried) liquid damage, which could have been there result of the peeling process or something else. I honestly don't know how it was damaged, as I purchased it in this condition many years ago.
This auction also includes the vinyl album in vg-ex condition and the correct orange colored Capital Records album sleeve in vg - ex condition.
