Description
The BEATLES - 1962-1966 (The RED ALBUM) - Parlophone PCSP 717 - 1973 - Original UK issue, in Gatefold Sleeve with lyric inner sleeves. The records were pressed in France by Pathé Marconi, during a period when the UK pressing plants were undergoing maintenance work. The labels state "Made in France" and "Mfd. in U.K.", the sleeves are the standard UK sleeves of the time. These unique pressings are quite scarce.

RECORDS - NEAR MINT - both discs are lovely, glossy black vinyl, with just a few hairlines and light marks visible. Superb audio playback, with just occasional pops and light crackle. Looks barely played.

LABELS - MINT - labels are very clean and bright, with no spindle wear and just a few light spindle marks. No writing or stickers. With "Made in France" and "Mfd. in U.K." text, plus french text on the bottom edge.
SLEEVE - EXCELLENT - original Garrard & Lofthouse, outer-laminated gatefold sleeve, with original "Made in France" sticker on the rear. Sleeve is very clean and bright front and rear with just a few very light creases and a very slight 'dink' on the bottom opening corner, but there is a little surface damage near the opening edges on the front and rear, plus a very small tear on the rear opening edge. Inside of the gatefold is clean and sharp, but with a little ringwear on the bottom. All corners are square and edges straight, with virtually no wear. Spine is straight, intact and fully legible, with no wear or creasing. No writing or unwanted stickers.
INNER SLEEVES - VERY GOOD - both sleeves are very clean and bright, with only light creasing. All edges are straight with little wear. But there is a small worn split on the bottom edge of sleeve 1, and sleeve 2 has some ringwear and a tear on one side edge and a small surface tear on the opposite edge. No writing or stickers.
