Description

“The Amazing Bud Powell” 1952 10” LP first pressing-??? Blue Note Records (# BLP 5003 mono) in a 10” cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good (VG). Plays with good audio quality and some crackling and random pops inherent in older (>70 years) albums. Visually, the vinyl has some gloss, with light hairline scratches - nothing deep and scuffs. The following is on the runout grooves:


  • Side A): (etched) BN-LP-5003A 9M “Plastylite ear”

  • Side B): (etched) BN-LP-5003B 9M “Plastylite ear” 

  • NOTES: 

  • * This edition has 767 Lexington labels

  • * Deep groove

  • * Plastylite P and 9M on both sides. 

  • * This cover advertises to catalog 5005

  • * This may be a 1st pressing since the 2nd pressing has also been noted to go up to catalog # 5006 on the back cover.

  • * Has the old Blue Note logo on back


The outer case is also Very Good (VG). The front cover is clean with minor age wear and a crease & some tiny pin holes at the upper left-hand corner. The back cover has some mild age wear and some scuffs. The top seam has ~5” split at the opening. The spine and bottom seam just have some minor dings and no splits. It’s a sturdy cover. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.

NOTE:  This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom
