Description
The Allman Brothers Band is the self-titled debut album by the American southern rock band. It was released on the Atco Records label in November 1969. The album bore the Atco label but is listed inside the gatefold as the Capricorn Records Series. The Capricorn label hadn’t even been designed yet. Initially the album sold poorly, only selling about 35,000 copies. Later, as the bands stature grew it was re-released along with the bands second album Idlewild South as a double album named Beginnings. The album peaked at only #188 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. Beautiful, first press original gatefold copy from 1969, in excellent condition here.
