Description

An original 1st UK press of the DEBUT on UK ATCO from winter 1969/70. Not a big hit out of the blocks - so these early copies, particularly UK, are freakin rare. Lovely early heavy pressing - you just know the audio in these grooves is going to be ridiculously good! Correct label design for very earliest pressing. Matrix A2/B2 - 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue gatefold cover. We also have the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve dated to Jan1970 [the correct period for 1st issue]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. There are a couple of marks/trails both sides. They don't appear to be feelable [they are low-level] - and do not get anywhere near the audible [period! <guaranteed>]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Lovely quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Wow - the audio rolling off of these grooves is absolutely legendary. I love it! Really phat wide bodied sound - excellent dynamics. Highly addictive. A clean player into all areas. I'm really struggling to make out any background at all.. anywhere. It's not quite perfect - but it is pretty darn close. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.
Cover (Ex-) Really nice looking and feeling cover. A lot of covers from this period do 'feel' like they were made along time ago - i.e. not smooth to touch, or creased. But this example 'feels' great - lovely smooth and uncreased surfaces. The only thing I need to mention is a small sticker removal mark - top right on the front [below ATCO symbol]. The interior does take some getting use to - haha! But the interior is in immaculate condition. There's a bit of light wear in places - but nothing to worry about.. The spine looks really good with just some light wear. The text is about 90% legible

Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged. Bag present. No splits.

Edge wear is practically non-existent and the openings still sharp. The spine is 100% intact without any wear or ageing [not sure I've ever seen that]. The interior continues the 'perfect' theme. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. I don't imagine any one will be finding a better example any time soon.
