Hi!! You are bidding on a very rare, incredibly hard to find album from country music's one and only ~ALABAMA~!! Before ALABAMA was signed by RCA, they played under the band name of THE ALABAMA BAND. This lp was being sold at their shows BEFORE they were signed by RCA in 1978! " The Alabama Band " supposedly had only 500 copies of this lp pressed, and when RCA signed them, it is rumored that RCA destroyed the master AND all unsold copies! If RCA in fact, DID destroy the remaining ones, that makes this lp a mega rare piece of ALABAMA recording history!! The record sleeve is ALSO signed by TEDDY GENTRY, one of the 3 original members of ALABAMA! This autograph was obtained at THE BOWERY in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina back in 1978. Teddy signed it with a black ball point pen between sets. As for the condition of the sleeve and vinyl, I was really tempted to list them both as near mint, but I decided to list them both as excellent instead. I have heard that some collectors are extremely sensitive to any small imperfection, but to me, the sleeve and vinyl are closer to near mint than excellent. The sleeve has probably yellowed just a bit with age from a bright white to standard white color, but there are no condition issues at all such as tears or rips or badly dented corners. The white labels on the vinyl are pristine! NO writing or tears on either side. The vinyl maintains all of it's original luster that it had when first purchased because the paper sleeve was ALWAYS kept on the vinyl when not in use! The condition of the vinyl is pristine as well, with only a very few tiny blemishes anywhere on the vinyl. A friend of mine recently transferred this lp to cd for me, and he was amazed at the quality and sound! The winner of this super rare album pays $4.00 S&H to anywhere in the lower 48 states.
