Original DOUBLE-sided ACETATE 45 on the ADVISION SOUND STUDIOS (Bond Street) yellow lable,
A historic piece from a great and highly regarded Rhythm and Blues Mod band!
I'm uncertain if this can even be called 'RARE' because there's probably not even another one!
Therefore it would be ridiculous to suggest as some do; "try finding another copy"!
Nope, if they cut any more copies, they would have been hard pushed to survive the years, or maybe a band member treasures his one if he got a copy.
This could well be the very piece that got them a DECCA contract in the first place!
I've had this several years and only played it twice and handled with care. It plays REALLY well and sounds fantastic - anyone can hear why they would have got hired by their record company - they were already very competent. Art was of course Ron's brother, but has sadly passed away, may he Rest In Peace. A class band, a great recording, and a historic item all round!
The top side of this acetate test/demo copy has Advision's title lable stuck on one side only.
The other side has no lable, but is a truncated recording of the track.
The disc is visually not in great looking condition, as with acetates of this era there's some crazing and chipped edge wear. HOWEVER, this is a VERY decent playing and very well preserved copy, and it truly sounds sharp and clear, practically as the day it was recorded!
The label is on the one side, and it's EXCELLENT, clean and bright.
