Here's a wee Allusions story: Back in the 1966, The Allusions' lead guitarist Terry Hearne worked for the father of one of my friends, as the band was not successful enough to be a full-time concern then. They were good friends as well, and one day, near Christmas 1966, Terry came around with his own copy of the test pressing of their 'new' LP, due out the following month and gave it to my friend's Dad, saying something along the lines of "Here, give this to your kids." My friend and his brother were 11 and 13 at the time...and just recently, the former decided to get rid of his vinyl collection...very small that it was, but it DID include this LP, plus three Allusions 45s which Terry had farmed out to the family as they came out back at the time.
So...there y' go...that's where this came from.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, it is...VERY MUCH SO!...Terry delivered it without a pic cover, as the covers hadn't been printed at the time. Comes in plain white sleeve..see pic.
What a friggin' awesome LP!...includes such garage-punk killers as "GYPSY WOMAN", "LOOKS LIKE TROUBLE", "I GOTTA MOVE", "OUT OF ORDER"...plus cool folk-rock gems like "AND SHE'S MINE" (packed with melody - so damn catchy) and "THE DANCER"...and equally brilliant Hollies/Mersey-style tracks like "LADY OF LEISURE", "ROUNDABOUT", "SHOP AROUND", "I'LL BE HOME", "97 CIGARETTES"...Even the rare ballads "IN MY SOLITUDE", and "BLUE TOMORROW", hold their own amongst all the above...
ALL BUT 4 OF THE 14 SONGS ARE ORIGINALS

VINYL: (VG) ...has a few marks, none of which look heavy...but...it does have 3 or 4 skips on the first track on Side Two (one of the ballads)...there's not a lot of crackling throughout the rest of it...some, but it's an easy listen!!
