WE ALWAYS COMBINE SHIPPING TO SAVE YOU MONEY AND WE ALWAYS SHIP WITH TRACKING. YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!
From United Artists Records (UAL 4025), this is MOTOR CITY SCENE
by THAD JONES, an original monaural high fidelity pressing from 1959.
It is a white label promo (see photos), the rarest of the rare. Jacket rates
a solid VG+ if not higher with intact seams, strong spine (printing dead center);
promo stamp on back cover. The LP play grades from about EX+ to NEAR MINT,
mostly in the NEAR MINT range with low intermittent extraneous noise that never
intrudes. There is no distortion, no startling pops or clicks and certainly no skips.
You'll be hard-pressed to decide between keeping this baby as a play copy or putting
it back in your private stash for posterity. It's that good.
The Cuts:
Side One
- Let's Play One
- Minor On Top
Side Two
- Like Old Times
- No Refill
Personnel & Instrumentation:
- Thad Jones -- cornet, fluegelhorn
- Billy Mitchell -- tenor
- Al Grey -- trombone
- Tommy Flanagan -- piano
- Paul Chambers -- bass
- Elvin Jones -- drums
When you buy from a small Mom & Pop business you
are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home,
a second yacht or a four hundred million dollar golden
parachute. Instead, you’re helping a little girl get
dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey,
a Mom put food on the table, a Dad pay a mortgage,
or a student pay for college. Our customers are our
shareholders; they are the ones we strive to make happy.
Thank you for supporting small businesses.
